Book Translation requested
Sáb 28 Sep 2013, 11:28 am
Hello my friends from the south! Long time it has been, I have been very busy.
I am looking for someone who is proficient in old Spanish (1500's) and correct English... ..... for a project I am considering.
I wish to translate and publish the most valuable book in my mind pertaining to the most significant treasure of Mexico, its history.
The individual must be proficient in modern English, I know that is difficult but it is just the way we white folk talk...LOL
The book is over 700 pages and the individual I seek must type it in Microsoft word or a compatible program such as Open Office.
Please give me your price to do this based upon a US Dollar value per 100 pages or total project of over 700 pages.
I am not certain at this time whether the project is feasible and at this time I am just looking for someone who could use the money, is a good typist and very good at understanding the old Spanish but more importantly how to translate it to English and dealing with grammar issues and causing it to read as it should to best convey its intended message.
If you or anyone you know is interested, please contact Tuscoro at tuscor@gmail.com
IF this works out I have another book project I am considering.....
I am also looking for someone to translate my latest book into Spanish, you may see the book at Tuscoro.com and I will send a 200 page pdf copy to only serious individuals who wish to take upon themselves this project. Get me a price.
Thank You!
And I wish all of you the very best God above is capable of giving!
PS....I have been successful in identifying the true location of the Espíritu Santos Map!
Take care my friends!

Greetings Tuscoro!
After reading your post and from what I understood, you need assistance in translating a book written in old Spanish into modern English; I'm assuming this is an old book but I might be wrong.
I'm not 100% proficient in English, but can keep a decent conversation, and I believe I can help you, but there's something you need to consider:
This forum doesn't relate exclusively to Mexico or mexican citizens, because is an international forum, and although most of the members are located in Mexico, a percentage of the members are located in South America and Spain as well.
If this book is written in old spanish (1500's), it could be that it was Spanish from Spain and not Spanish from Mexico (hopefully I'm not confusing you), and this is where people from Mexico could get confused:
In modern spanish, there are differences in the language between Spanish from Spain and Spanish from Mexico, so there are words that have certain meaning in Spanish from Spain as of Spanish from Mexico.
If there's a way that you can publish 1 or 2 pages of the book here in the forum for everybody to read it , I'm sure that will be a great help in order to find out if someone will be able to assist you.
At the end maybe you'll get assistance from someone from Spain! In the meantime, I'm interested in assisting you!
I do apologize for any mistake that I might have committed when providing information in this response.
And hit it!... 'CAUSE THE TREASURES WAIT FOR ALL OF US!!!

Check your email, I would appreciate it if you could post the images for me.
Who ever can do this if we can work something out, I have a newer clean Spanish Hard Copy of the book I can provide by mailing it to them and also a pdf copy (Original Scan) that I can send.
